Hope Against Sorrow

¡Bienvenido al 1er “Café Con Dios” online: Un café para tu alma!

2 Co.7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

My country wakes up this morning to a dark scenario. Hopelessness, despair and fear are spreading like a virus; it´s in everyday´s news –what happened now? where? how many dead? People defending their land gunned down, shootings in malls, a few days ago during a football game, yesterday a hole casino burned with innocent people inside.

Sadly there are more and more innocent civilians killed in Mexico as a result of this war between criminals, fighting each other and against police and the military to control drug supplies mainly to our northern neighbors.

Why do I write this? Because you won´t see it in every newscast, or feel it when you drive around the streets, or hear about it in the cafe, if you hear a loud noise at night you don´t wonder if it´s a gunfight and you probably don´t pray with your kids for protection when you leave them at school in the same way we do.

Remember this when you talk or hear someone talking about using drugs and remember all that it involves including violence and death not only for the people using them. Please don´t be naive regarding this and weapons traffic. It´s not about people rights it´s about doing what is right according to God.

Please remember Mexico in your prayers and remember those who share hope through God´s word wherever hope is scarce. This coming days are of national mourning proclaimed by our president, whom by the way is also seeking God´s word for counsel, who has said he feels like Peter when walking on water and searching for God´s hand in help, this I heard myself. Thank you. –AZP

May the LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.
